Dovi Nadel at Chidon Ha’Tanach National Finals 2016

Effective September 2015, the Jewish Agency has appointed Dovi Nadel, Coordinator of the US Chidon Ha-Tanach.  Dovi replaces Rabbi Ezra Frazer, Coordinator of the US Chidon since 2008. Dovi is a former Chidon champion, having won the US Middle School Hebrew Division in 2007 and having placed 3rd in the world at the 2008 International Chidon in Jerusalem. [Intrntnl Finals Video]

In addition to running the US Chidon, Dovi is on the faculty of the SAR High School. He is currently completing a Master’s degree in Bible at YU-Revel and studying toward Semikha Ordination at YU-RIETS. Dovi studied for two years at Yeshivat Har Etzion “Gush”. For the past three summers, he has served as a Rosh Chinuch (Head of Education Staff) at Camp Stone in Sugar Grove, Pennsylvania.

Dovi credits two unique Middle/High School educators for inspiring his love for Tanach – Rabbi Eliezer Cohen Z”L [R. Cohen Memorial] and Rabbi Pinchas Amior.

At Yeshiva University, he was Editor-in-Chief of Kol Hamevaser – The Jewish Thought Magazine of the YU student body. Dovi’s last article as editor, “Editor’s Thoughts: Reflections of an Unrepentant Tanakh Enthusiast” can be found at the following link:
